Farm Animal Care

We recommend annual exams to assess the overall health of your animals. These exams will include a thorough physical exam, as well as a discussion of housing, feeding, and routine care practices.

Annual vaccination for protection against clostridial diseases like Tetanus, and a tailored deworming program is recommended for all livestock. Additional vaccines against common respiratory or reproductive pathogens may be recommended.

We have an in-house laboratory to quickly assess bloodwork, urine, fecal egg counts, and cytology samples. We work with various laboratories across the country for more advanced testing as needed. If you have a particular test in mind for your animal, please call the office ahead of your appointment to discuss.

Our imaging services include digital radiography and ultrasound units that can be taken to your farm, as well as in-clinic endoscopy for larger animals.

We offer 24/7 emergency care for established clientele. Patients must be seen annually for preventative care to have access to after-hours emergency care. Please schedule a wellness exam before you have an emergency.

Emergency Care

Referrals from other clinics are accepted! Records from their current vet are required and can be emailed to us using our contact form. We do have a requirement that all patients are up to date on their annual exams.

Referral Services

Although many patients can be treated on the farm, more advanced cases benefit from hospitalization.

We offer 24-hour care for sick or post-operative patients in our clinic. This may range from medical boarding with doctor supervision and medication administration, to IV fluids and round-the-clock care for more critical patients.

Field surgery may be performed for minor procedures such as castrations and laceration repairs.

For more advanced procedures, such as cesarean sections, colic surgery, and advanced dental work, patients are treated in hospital.

Our doctors will work closely with you to make sure you understand why a procedure is recommended and what the expected post-op recovery period involves.
